8/09 – 12/10: The original cabin was one of the first three homes to be built in Mountain Village, and spurred the comment from Ron Allred (founder of MV) “Ok, I guess we need to establish some design regulations!”. We took this home from the being the least desirable in MV to being featured in LUXE Interiors + Design’s summer 2011 issue.The entire floor plan, heating system, finishes, electrical and plumbing were all redone in this complete interior/exterior remodel with additions.
We changed the roof’s ridgeline and raised it to put a upstairs master suite and deck. Then we added dormers to the great room and restructured it with exposed steel to replace the log timbers and trusses. We also assisted with the design in the master addition, steel structure, steel interior/exterior window trim, and many other areas of the home.
